Phase Comparator

A unit designed to measure the relative phase difference with time, between two high stability frequency sources.  The resultant output is recorded on a built-in chart recorder to determine the long term frequency difference.  The sensitivity of the chart recording is adjustable by changes to the comparison frequency, using internal dividers, and the chart speed.  Long term chart recording allows a permanent record to be established, possibly as a QA requirement, and to eliminate the effects of short term variations and jitter.
Input Frequencies 100kHZ to 10MHz
Internal Dividers 1, 5, 10, 50 and 100 on each input, the phase comparison must be made at the same frequency (after division)
Chart Scale 10µS FSD for comparison at 100kHz
1µS FSD for comparison at 1MHz
0.1µS FSD for comparison at 10MHz
Chart Speeds 10, 20, 60mm/hr
Input Signal Levels 0.25 to 2V into 50ohms, a high 500ohms input option is selectable
Dimensions Rack mounted to Euronorm module, 42HP wide
128.5mm high
212.6mm wide
254mm deep
Power Supply 230V AC, 50Hz
24V DC option
Option The unit can be provided without a chart recorder, 21HP wide (106.3mm) with an output for an external recorder or data logger
